Tap Master ULTRA Reverse Osmosis System solves many of the problems associated with traditional RO systems. Traditional RO systems are destroyed by well water containing iron and do not filter out micro-organisms. The Tap Master ULTRA Reverse Osmosis System contains an iron prefilter with KDF85 media to remove iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfide which would otherwise destroy the RO membrane. Tap Master systems use larger fittings and tubing than Traditional RO Systems to double the water flow rate. Traditional RO systems use permanent canister filter housings subject to constant high pressure and wear that can weaken and burst with age. The Tap Master uses all-in-one modular filters for increased durability and easier annual service. Tap Master ULTRA Reverse Osmosis System delivers exceptionally pure water by first stripping the well water clean, removing up to 98-percent of iron, chemicals, heavy metals, dissolved solids, and other contaminants using reverse osmosis, sediment and carbon filtration, then channels the water through the ultraviolet light chamber to destroy 99.9-percent of microorganisms. With 6 stages of filtration, purification and sterilization Tap Master ULTRA produces exceptionally pure, great tasting water. In designing the Tap Master a sophisticated combination of flow restriction components were integrated into the system architecture to regulate pressure in the 50 gpd membrane chamber for optimized purification and minimized wastewater production. The most sophisticated components certified to NSF standards are included in the design and construction of our product. We have had the Tap Master ULTRA System for a few years and we just love our water.
It's the best water I've ever had in my life -
including 10,000 feet up in a Sierra stream 30+ years ago
and costly water which we had shipped in from Arkansas.
The unit takes up very little room under our kitchen sink.
We save space by no longer storing bottles and we no longer have to change water bottles.
My husband handled the installation himself and he's about a 3 on a 10 pt. 'handy scale'.
There is nothing we would change about our unit or with the firm itself.
We have found the firm to be honest and helpful.
We once placed an incorrect order and they called and told us we didn't need all we had ordered.

I had this unit installed under my kitchen sink. It connects to a separate faucet in my sink and also connects to my refrigerator's water supply. Before I got the unit, I had a simple carbon filter that really only took the chlorine out of the water. It did the job but I noticed a bigger difference when I installed this new unit. My water now is totally odorless, colorless, and tasteless, the way drinking water should be. It beats the taste of many well-known bottled waters.
My wife has totally given up buying water at the supermarket as a result. Wow, what a savings!

I read a lot of reviews about installation before buying; I'm handy w/ tools but not a pro. Installation went very smooth. I observed one leak in the small cylinder w/ black tubing in the front of the unit. The leak was 1 drop/ 5-7 minutes. I pulled out the tube, cut 1/8 of the end and re-insert; it seemed the same, but after 2-3 hours it disappeared. No leaks since then.
